이 노래를 처음 접한 건 중고등학교 시절 게임 방송의 리그 오프닝 곡이었다. 게임 경기를 시작하기 전에 20~30초 가량 짧게 틀어주고 경기를 시작하는데, 이 당시가 15~6년 전임을 생각해보면 그래픽과 음악들이 굉장히 세련됐고 어린 내게 충격으로 다가왔다. 당시를 돌이켜보면 매시즌 스타리그 오프닝을 제작하는데 영상과 음향에 상당한 신경을 썼다는 걸 알 수 있다. 이 곡 뿐만 아니라 내가 기억하고 있는 임팩트 있는 곳들은 이때의 기억과 연결되어 있다.

 

잡설이 길었다. 퀸부터 오아시스 뮤즈에 이르기까지 이젠 브릿팝의 특징이라고 착각할 정도로, 가사의 의미가 모호하다. 하지만 퀸과 오아시스의 곡들과 다른 점은 그들의 곡은 딱히 특별한 의미가 없는 반면, 이 곡은 한 인터뷰에서 밝히길 여성을 블랙홀에 비유했다는 점이다(뭐... 사실 그래도 무슨 말인지 잘 모르겠다).
